JOHNSTOWN, Pa. – The Gannon softball team put together a dominant day on the road Monday, sweeping Pitt-Johnstown behind timely hitting and strong pitching performances in PSAC West action.
The Golden Knights erupted for 27 total hits on the day and used a four-run third inning in game one along with big fourth- and fifth-inning frames in game two to secure the sweep.
Gannon improved to 5-3 in PSAC West play and moved to 10-10 overall with the doubleheader sweep.

GAME ONE – Gannon 8, Pitt-Johnstown 2
Gannon broke things open in the third inning after trailing early.
Emily Spears (Pittsburgh, Pa./Shaler Area) tied the game with an RBI single before
Jenna Clontz (Kittanning, Pa./Armstrong) followed with a three-run home run to center, giving the Golden Knights a 4-1 lead.
The Golden Knights added to the lead in the fourth inning when
