Gannon Men's Soccer Posts Come-From-Behind 2-1 Victory

Dan Howell scored his fourth goal of the season in Gannon's 2-1 win Saturday.
PHILLIPPI, W. Va. - The Gannon University men's soccer team beat Alderson-Broaddus 2-1 Saturday afternoon. Dan Howell (Erie, Pa./Iroquois) and Jonathan Garrick-Whiley (Mississauga, Ontario/Loyola Catholic S.S.) each scored and Steve Boehmer (Dayton, Ohio/Carroll) made five saves to lead the Golden Knights. 

Howell scored the game-winner at the 79:59 mark, giving GU (8-5-1) a much-needed road victory. Garrick-Whiley tied the match in the 78th minute, as Piet Zweegers (Mierlo, Holland/Augustmianum) set up the score. 

The teams played a scoreless first half. The Battlers (6-9) opened the scoring, as Michael Wilson beat Boehmer in the 55th minute. 

The Golden Knights will travel to Seton Hill Tuesday, October 21 for their next contest. The match will kick off at 7 p.m.
