Katelan is expected to compete for a spot on Gannon’s pitching staff in 2014.

2013: Made six appearances out of the bullpen as a true freshman … named a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Scholar-Athlete … threw one inning of relief against Ohio Dominican during his first career outing, allowing no earned runs on three hits with one strikeout … produced Gannon’s lowest earned run average with a 1.50 mark in six innings … surrendered only one earned run … tossed a scoreless inning of relief against Clarion and Mansfield … struck out two of the four batters he faced against the Mountaineers, before earning his first career victory in a 5-4 decision … went 2 2/3 innings against West Virginia Wesleyan during his longest outing of the season, striking out a season-high three hitters while allowing one earned run.

High School: Played for head coach Joe Stetka at C. Milton Wright (Md.) High School … graduated with a 3.2 grade point average … went 4-4 with a 2.58 earned run average as a senior … served as a team captain … hit .413 during his senior campaign.

Personal: Mechanical Engineering major … has one sister … is the son of Debbie and Jim.
