High School: Played for head coach Tiger Laverde at Kirtland High School in Kirtland, Ohio … a three-year starter who was a three-time All-Ohio selection, earning first team Division VI honors in 2022 and first team Division V in 2021, along with earning first team all-conference honors all three year … one of only three Kirtland players to earn first team All-Ohio honors three times … helped Kirtland to a pair of state championships while reaching the state championship game all four years … the Hornets had a four-year record of 55-2 … Kirtland was 15-1 in 2022, losing 14-6 to Marion Local in the OHSAA Div. VI State Championship … also lost a tight game in the Div. V title game in 2021, finishing at 14-1 following a 20-16 loss to Versailles … captured the second of back-to-back state championships in 2020, finishing undefeated at 11-0 following a 38-0 win over Ironton in the Div.
