2022: Appeared in two games … saw his first career action at Edinboro (10/8/22) and later played vs. Mercyhurst (10/22/22) but did accumulate any statistics.

2021: Redshirted.

High School: Was a standout in football and basketball at Hickory High School … played football for head coach Bill Dungee, earning for letters … helped the Hornets to an 8-1 record and the District 10 championship as a senior, catching 25 passes for 500 yards and 8 TDs … was a first team All Region selection on offense and defense as a junior and senior … was also a Prep Red Zone First Team All-State on offense as a senior … was a three-year letterwinner in basketball, helping Hickory to a 24-4 record and the District 10 championship as a senior, their fourth straight district title … the Hornets went on to finish as the PIAA runner-up.

Personal: Education major … son of Chris and Nick Cannone … father played football at Purdue … has two brothers (Anthony and Nicholas) … Anthony played football at Duquesne.
