Expected to compete at 141 or 149 during his first season at Gannon as a graduate student … wrestled on the NCAA Division I level at the University of North Carolina during the 2009-10 and 2010-11 campaigns.

At North Carolina: Wrestled for head coach Cary Kolat … compiled a 14-13 overall record with eight pins in two seasons … went 4-3 in dual competition … produced a 9-9 overall record and 2-1 dual mark at 141 pounds as a sophomore … recorded six pins, ending all six matches in less than two minutes … opened the year with a 3-2 mark at the Hokie Open … claimed a pin in 48 seconds against Justin Giani of Drexel at the Hershey Duals … opened the Hokie Open, the Nittany Lion Open and the Reno Tournament of Champions with pins … notched a 5-4 record in limited action as a freshman, including two pins … went 3-2 in his debut at the Hokie Open, including a pin during his first career contest … split two bouts at the ACC Challenge and defeated Garret Morabito of Binghamton during his only match at the Northeast Duals.

High School: Wrestled for head coach Keith Miller at Cathedral Prep (Pa.) High School … was a two-time district champion and two-time Class AAA state medalist … finished runner-up at the state championships as a senior and eighth as a junior … holds the school records for career victories (159), wins in a season (45) and pins in a season (29) … compiled a 159-33 career record … named to the all-state academic team as a sophomore … helped Cathedral Prep win two district championships and qualify for the state championships twice … was a two-sport athlete, also competing with the Cathedral Prep baseball team.

Personal: Graduated from the University of North Carolina with a bachelor’s degree in communications … pursuing a master’s degree in public administration … has one sister … is the son of Buster and Luciana.
