LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Gannon University men's golfer Rasmus Seppanen (Bastad, Sweden/Akademi Bastad Gymnasium) has been named a recipient of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Spring Top 10 Award, recognizing the conference's top student-athletes for their combined excellence in academics and athletics.

The PSAC Spring Top 10 Award recipients are nominated and voted on by the Sports Information and Athletic Communications professionals of the conference. Initiated during the 1998-99 academic year, the award recognizes men and women student-athletes who excel both in the classroom and in athletic competition.

A redshirt junior from Båstad, Sweden, Seppanen owns a 3.66 cumulative grade-point average as a Computer Science major and capped another outstanding season on the course by helping lead Gannon to the NCAA Division II Atlantic Regional Championship and a berth in the NCAA Division II National Championships.

Seppanen appeared in all 13 tournaments for the Golden Knights during the 2025-26 season and was Gannon's top finisher at the NCAA Atlantic Regional. He tied for medalist honors before finishing second following a six-hole playoff. One of only two golfers in the 116-player field to finish under par, Seppanen carded rounds of 67, 72, and 70 for a 1-under-par 209.

He finished the season with a team-best 72.7 scoring average across 34 rounds while recording five top-five finishes and seven top-10 performances. His season included a third-place finish at the UC Invitational, where he carded a season-low 67, a tie for first at the Midwest/Central Regional Preview, a runner-up finish at the Howard "Bud" Elwell Invitational, and a ninth-place finish at the PSAC Championships.

At the NCAA Division II National Championships, Seppanen was Gannon's top finisher, tying for 71st place after posting rounds of 71, 74, and 76.

The honor adds to an impressive list of accolades for Seppanen. He earned Division II PING All-Region honors for the second consecutive season in 2025-26 after also receiving the recognition in 2024-25. Following the 2024-25 season, he was selected as a Division II PING Honorable Mention All-American.

With the honor, Seppanen becomes the fourth Golden Knight to receive a PSAC Top 10 Award during the 2025-26 academic year, joining Emily Bowers (women's cross country), Sverre Orten (men's soccer), and Victor Desmond (men's basketball).
