BOULDER CITY, NV - Gannon concluded the 2025-26 season in the final round of the NCAA Championship tournament in Boulder City, CO. The Golden Knights finished the tournament at 27-over par, 18th in the team standings. 

Gannon was the top finisher from the Atlantic/East regional, placing better than both Wheeling and Charleston (WV), who were the playing partners for the Golden Knights on Wednesday.

On the individual side, Rasmus Seppanen (Bastad, Sweden/Akademi Bastad Gymnasium) carded a finish inside the top 75, while Mattia Parrini (Verolengo, Italy/Verolengo) found himself in the top 80 of the field. Kyle Westfall (Erie, Pa./Northwest Pennsylvania Collegiate Academy (Erie)) drew into the lineup on Wednesday, playing in the final round. 

Gannon made 15 birdies in the final round, and every player in the lineup had at least one red number on the scorecard. Jacob Wolak (Slippery Rock, Pa./Slippery Rock Area) and Rasmus Seppanen (Bastad, Sweden/Akademi Bastad Gymnasium) each finished one half of the course under par. 

As the season comes to a close, Gannon enjoyed their fifth trip to nationals in the last six years. The Golden Knights also captured the Atlantic/East regional championship along the way. 

THE KNIGHTCAP - GANNON RESULTS

Rasmus Seppanen (Bastad, Sweden/Akademi Bastad Gymnasium) (Bastad, Sweden/Akademi Bastad Gymnasium) (T71 / +5) (+4 on Day Three)
Seppanen would shake off an early bogey with a birdie on the par five second hole. He would end the front nine with a score of 41 but have a strong back nine. Surging back, Gannon's top finisher made birdies on both the par five holes (13 and 16), and hit his approach shot on the 18th to a foot, sinking the birdie putt to end his round with a 76. He finished inside the top 75 and was the Golden Knights best finisher at nationals for a second consecutive season. 

Mattia Parrini (Verolengo, Italy/Verolengo)  (T76 / +6) (+1 on Day Three)
Parrini had the second best front nine of any Gannon golfer on Wednesday, as he quickly got into red numbers with a birdie on the par four third and then again on the par five fifth. He finished the front nine at an even par 36. On the back nine, birdies on both the par five 13th and 16th holes followed, as Parrini shot one over to finish at six-over par, an incredibly strong final 36 holes. 

Giovanni Delorenzi (Reggio Emilia, Italy/International School of Modena) (T92 / +11) (+7 on Day Three)
Delorenzi made six pars on the front nine in his final round in a Gannon polo, shooting a 40 going out. He would make a birdie on the par five 16th hole and finish with a round of 79 to bring him to 11-over overall for the tournament. 

Jacob Wolak (Slippery Rock, Pa./Slippery Rock Area) (T92 / +11) (+2 on Day Three)
Wolak was tied with Seppanen for the most birdies on the card on Wednesday (4). The lefty birdied both the third and fifth holes and earned par from there to card a one-under 35 on the opening set of nine holes. He then made birdie on the par four tenth hole and followed it up with another birdie on the par five 13th. A round of 74 ended his season, as Wolak went just three-over in the final 36 holes. 

Kyle Westfall (Erie, Pa./Northwest Pennsylvania Collegiate Academy (Erie)) (+10)
Westfall drew into the lineup on Wednesday, replacing Mario Estevez (Gijón, Spain/Colegio Montedeva de Gijón). He quickly made a birdie on the par four third hole and shot a 39 on the front nine. Westfall also birdied the par five 13th. He finished with a score of 82.
