JOHNSTOWN, PA - Gannon is right in the thick of the race to the NCAA Championships after the second round. The Golden Knights sit second as a team with 18 holes left to play in the 2026 NCAA Atlantic/East Regional, being held at Sunnehanna Country Club in Johnstown, PA.

Rasmus Seppanen (Bastad, Sweden/Akademi Bastad Gymnasium), tied for first after day one, now has the outright individual lead at one under par. He is the only player in the field in red numbers following 36 holes.

The course proved to be more of a challenge on Friday, yet Gannon still managed to card 11 birdies as a team. The meat of the course, holes 6-9, proved to be the biggest challenge throughout the day.

The final round of the regional will begin tomorrow morning. Gannon will look to reclaim the Atlantic/East Regional title. They will advance to the NCAA Championships with a top three finish.

THE KNIGHTCAP - GANNON RESULTS

Rasmus Seppanen (Bastad, Sweden/Akademi Bastad Gymnasium) (1st / -1) (+2 in Round Two)
Seppanen made par on his first four holes of the day and had two bogeys on the front nine for a 37 to start the day. On the back, he started to heat up. Seppanen would make birdie on the par four 12th hole for a second consecutive day and shoot a two-over 72 for his round. He leads the individual field and is the only golfer under par through 36 holes.

Mattia Parrini (Verolengo, Italy/Verolengo) (T11 / +3) (+1 in Round Two)
Parrini had arguably the best day of any Golden Knight, firing a one-over 71 to march into the top 11 and sit within contending distance of the medal. The junior made birdie on the fourth hole, a par four, and again on the par four 12th. Another birdie followed on the par three 16th hole, and Parrini went a one-under 34 on the back to conclude his round.

Jacob Wolak (Slippery Rock, Pa./Slippery Rock Area) (T19 / +5) (+1 in Round Two)
Like Parrini, Wolak had a spectacular day that featured a one-over 71 round. He continues to be a critical part of the Gannon lineup. He birdied the par four fourth hole, and had a one-over 36 for the front nine. On the back, he would atone for a double bogey on the 13th with birdies on both the 15th and 17th holes to shoot even coming in. He's in the top 20 entering the final day.

Giovanni Delorenzi (Reggio Emilia, Italy/International School of Modena) (T44 / +9) (+7 in Round Two)
Delorenzi was able to find a birdie on the par four eighth hole and shot a 40 on the front nine. The senior then made a birdie on the par five 11th hole and finished with a round of 77 on day two.

Mario Estevez (Gijón, Spain/Colegio Montedeva de Gijón) (T83 / +14) (+8 in Round Two)
Estevez had a pair of birdies on the morning, carding a red number on the long, 621 yard par five ninth and on the par five 11th hole as well. He shot a 78 on Friday.
