INDIANA, PA - The Golden Kngihts finished fifth out of 13 teams at the Cecil C. Spadafora IUP Invitational in Idiana, PA on Wednesday. Gannon shot 20 over par as a team in the final round and had two players in the top 25. 

Rasmus Seppanen (Bastad, Sweden/Akademi Bastad Gymnasium) made the biggest jump on Wednesday, finishing tied for fourth and moving four spots up the leaderboard. The winning score was even par. 

Gannon will have one final tournament in the regular season next Monday and Tuesday before competing in the Atlantic/East regional. 

THE KNIGHTCAP - GANNON's TOP FOUR

Rasmus Seppanen (Bastad, Sweden/Akademi Bastad Gymnasium) - Seppanen slowly climbed the leaderboard on Wednesday, finishing tied for fourth overall in the tournament. The Swede shot a three-over 74 for the round but made multiple birdies along the way. He would card a birdie on the first and 18th holes for a 37 on both the front and back nine. This is the fourth top five finish of the season for Seppanen. 

Giovanni Delorenzi (Reggio Emilia, Italy/International School of Modena) - The second best round of the day for the Golden Knights, Delorenzi shot a four-over 75 to finish tied for 21st, seven spots better than Tuesday's placement. Highlighting his round were birdies on the 16th and 18th holes, a back nine in which he shot even par (35). He would also make a string of nine consecutive pars between the seventh and 15th holes. 

Jacob Wolak (Slippery Rock, Pa./Slippery Rock Area) -  Wolak bounced back from a shaky first few holes to card a 38 on the back nine, including a birdie at the par five 11th hole. The southpaw also made a birdie on the ninth and would finish with a 78 for the round. 

Mattia Parrini (Verolengo, Italy/Verolengo) - Parrini would also birdie the 11th hole and finish with a 38 on the back nine. He was one of three Gannon players to finish with a 78 on the day and ended the tournament in the top half of the leaderboard, tied for 32nd.

The Golden Knights will compete in the Bedford Spring Intercollegiate on Monday, April 20th and Tuesday, April 21st in Johnstown, PA. The event is hosted by UPJ, which will also host the Atlantic/East regional starting on May 7th.
