LEBANON, Pa. – Gannon University's Jacob Wolak (Slippery Rock, Pa./Slippery Rock Area) has been named the PSAC Men's Golf Champion Scholar, marking the second consecutive year a Golden Knight has earned the conference honor.

Wolak, a senior Criminal Justice major from Slippery Rock, Pa., carries a 3.91 cumulative grade point average with 94 completed credit hours. He becomes the fifth Golden Knight men's golfer to receive the conference's Champion Scholar Award.

The PSAC Champion Scholar Awards are modeled after the NCAA's Elite Scholar-Athlete Award (formerly Elite 90 Award) and honor the student-athlete with the highest grade point average competing at the site of each PSAC championship final.

The selection criteria for the Champion Scholar Awards are identical to those of the NCAA Elite Scholar-Athlete Awards, which recognize the student-athlete with the highest GPA at the championship finals sites of the NCAA's 93 championships across all three divisions – I, II and III.

With Wolak's selection, Gannon men's golf has now earned seven PSAC Champion Scholar Awards in program history.

Wolak joins Sean Mahon (2013-14, 2014-15), Matt Barto (2016-17, 2017-18), Ethan Bennett (2019-20) and teammate Kyle Westfall (Erie, Pa./Northwest Pennsylvania Collegiate Academy (Erie)) (2025-26) as Gannon men's golfers to receive the honor.
