As April arrives, spring sports return home for a bevy of games at McConnell Family Stadium. And, for the first time in nearly 40 years, men's basketball will play for a National Championship. Here's a look at what is on tap for this week:

Men's Basketball
A historic season for head coach Easton Bazzoli and the Golden Knights will have one final game on Sunday, as the Golden Knights will play for the NCAA DII National Championship at 1:00 pm in Indianapolis, Indiana. GU will face Lander for the title.

The Golden Knights are playing at their best heading into the championship game. The defense showed its elite skill in wins over Michigan Tech and Oklahoma Baptist to advance to the championship in the Elite Eight in Pittsburgh, PA. Gannon won their games by scores of 75-49 and 98-80 to advance to the title game. They'll now face Lander for the title.

A win would mean the first NCAA national title in program and Gannon Athletics history. The Golden Knights last made the national final in 1987, where they finished as the NCAA runner-up. Gannon already surpassed a program record for wins in a season with the victory over the Bison on Friday.

Baseball
After their home opening series against Clarion on Sunday, Gannon will remain at McConnell Family Stadium on Tuesday for a non-conference matchup with D'Youville at 3:00 pm. Then, PSAC play resumes on Friday and Saturday as the Golden Knights will face Cal (PA) for four games. GU will be at home on Saturday for a 1/3:30 pm doubleheader.

Softball
With weather rescheduling games, the Golden Knights will be busy this week. They'll first head to UPJ on Monday for a 12:30/2:30 pm first pitch before coming back home for four conference games this weekend.

First, it will be Seton Hill who comes to town for a Thursday twinbill; first pitches are slated for 3:00 and 5:00 pm. Then, on Friday, Gannon will have a 2:00 and 4:00 pm start against conference foe Cal (PA).

Women's Lacrosse
Conference play continues for the Golden Knights, who are coming off their Senior Day game last week. Gannon will face rival Edinboro at McConnell Family Stadium at 4:00 pm on Wednesday. Then it will be back to the road for Gannon, as they will visit Seton Hill on Saturday at noon.

Men's & Women's Golf
After sweeping the team and individual titles last week, both Gannon squads will make the trek to Indianapolis for the Findianapolis Intercollegiate on Monday and Tuesday. The Golden Knights women's team will compete in the PSAC Championship meet later this month.
