ERIE, PA - Gannon women's water polo has been selected seventh in the 2026 edition of the WWPA Preseason Poll.

Following a 7-15 campaign a year ago that saw Gannon finish sixth at WWPA Championships, the Golden Knights are ready for a challenging schedule this season. They'll look to improve upon their mark from a year ago, while welcoming back several key returners from last season.

"Every new schedule brings a fresh sense of excitement, because it represents opportunity—opportunity to compete, to grow, and to see this team become the best version of itself", said head coach Zarko Sadikovic. "This season isn't just about the matches we play, but about the work, resilience, and belief we build together every day."

Gannon starts the season like last, competing in the Wildcat Invitational in Villanova, PA. They'll play host Villanova on February 7th at 9:00 am, with games against Princeton, Wagner, and Iona to follow.
