The Gannon University women's lacrosse team will face Ashland University on Tuesday, March 18, at 2:00 PM at the Dwight Schar Athletic Complex/Ferguson Field in Ashland, Ohio. Originally set as the Golden Knights' season opener, the game was postponed due to field conditions at Ashland and rescheduled for Tuesday.

Gannon (2-3) enters the contest following a thrilling 12-10 home-opening victory over Daemen on March 15. Charlie Hunter (Boston, N.Y./Hamburg) and Rayla Smith (Pittsburgh, Pa./Plum) each recorded hat tricks, while Ella Todd (Maple Ridge, British Columbia/Maple Ridge Secondary) led the offense with seven points (five assists, two goals). Senior goalie Haleigh Manning (Milton, Ga./Cambridge) made 11 saves, helping the Golden Knights secure a Senior Day win.

Ashland (3-4), led by head coach Lauren Simko, looks to rebound from a 16-14 loss to No. 14 Grand Valley State. Junior attacker Ashley Fisher led the Eagles with three goals and four assists, while freshman Tori Wanat added three goals and one assist. Goalkeeper Annie Duncan recorded eight saves.

Following Tuesday's game, Gannon will open conference play on Saturday, March 22, against No. 21 Slippery Rock at 1:00 PM inside McConnell Family Stadium.
