Women’s Lacrosse Falls to Daemen in Road Action

AMHERST, N.Y. – The Gannon women's lacrosse team fell to Daemen, 18-8, in road action on Wednesday afternoon.

Charlie Hunter (Boston, N.Y./Hamburg) and Isabella Veltre (Ontario, N.Y./Wayne Central) led the Golden Knights with three goals each while Madelyn Lemmon (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Allegheny) and Morgan Allardi (Roanoke, Va./Cave Spring) each added a goal.

Gannon opened the scoring midway through the first quarter when Hunter found the back of the net to give the Golden Knights an early 1-0 lead. Daemen responded with two goals late in the opening period to take a 2-1 advantage into the second quarter.

The Wildcats extended their lead in the second quarter before goals from Veltre and Hunter kept Gannon within striking distance heading into halftime.
