Veltre, Hunter Each Net Five as Gannon Falls at Lincoln Memorial

HARROGATE, Tenn. – Isabella Veltre (Ontario, N.Y./Wayne Central) and Charlie Hunter (Boston, N.Y./Hamburg) each scored five goals to lead the Gannon women's lacrosse offense, but the Golden Knights came up just short in a 14–13 setback at Lincoln Memorial on Saturday afternoon. 

After trailing 10–5 at halftime, Gannon rallied with five unanswered goals in the fourth quarter, trimming the deficit to one before time expired.

Veltre posted a career-high five goals while adding two assists for a team-high seven points, while Hunter finished with a season-high five goals and added a strong all-around performance. Rayla Smith (Pittsburgh, Pa./Plum) chipped in two goals, while Alyssa Lerch (Coraopolis, Pa./Moon Area) added one.
