ERIE, Pa. – The Gannon men's wrestling team travels to eastern Pennsylvania for a pair of PSAC duals. The Golden Knights wrestle at East Stroudsburg on Friday, January 31 at 7:00 p.m. followed by another at Kutztown the next day. That match gets underway at 12 noon.

Head coach Tom Boyd's squad has battled injuries of late but the second-year head coach hopes to have most of the lineup back this weekend. The Golden Knights come in with a 7-4 record and are 3-0 in the PSAC following a 24-18 loss at West Liberty on Friday. They were missing four starters but battled the tenth-ranked Hilltoppers to the last weight class. Gannon is ranked 14th in the latest NWCA Division II rankings and 15th in The Open Mat poll.

East Stroudsburg has a 3-2 record and is 0-2 in PSAC duals, losing to Pitt-Johnstown and Millersville. A year ago Gannon defeated the Warriors 41-4. Kutztown, ranked 20th by the NWCA and 23rd by The Open Mat, has a 7-1 record and is 1-1 in the PSAC. The Golden Bears defeated Seton Hill 32-10 and lost to Pitt-Johnstown 29-16. Gannon won 30-7 a year ago.

Boyd's lineup includes four ranked wrestlers, including Logan Sallot (Erie, PA/McDowell High School). The redshirt freshman is ranked seventh by The Open Mat and 14th by the NWCA at 125 lbs. He was named the PSAC Wrestling Athlete of the Week earlier this week after picking up an 8-5 decision over West Liberty's Logan Davis, who was ranked tenth. Sallot has an 18-3 record.

Fellow Lock Haven transfer and redshirt freshman Patrick Jackson (Harpers Ferry, WV/Spring Mills High) is ranked eighth by the NWCA and 11th by The Open Mat. He comes in at 16-5 and will face another ranked wrestler on Saturday in Kutztown's Dalton Gimbor, who is 10th and 19th, respectively.
Kenny Kiser (Meadville, Pa./Saegertown) (10-2) is Gannon's top ranked wrestler. Competing at 149 lbs., he is fourth in The Open Mat rankings and sixth in the NWCA poll.

One wrestler who won't be competing this weekend is Dorian Crosby (Erie, Pa./Cathedral Prep). The transfer from Bucknell is ranked fourth by The Open Mat and sixth by the NWCA but is currently out with an injury.
