Four Golden Knights Named to IWLCA Division II Academic Honor Roll

NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. – The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association today announced its 2024 IWLCA Division II Academic Honor Roll, with four Gannon University players among those honored. The IWLCA recognized 524 student-athletes from 72 institutions. To be eligible for this honor, student-athletes must be a junior, senior, or graduate student and have earned a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or greater.

Gannon's four honorees included seniors Alexandra Kehrig (Fairport, N.Y./Fairport). Skylar Parsons and McKenna Woodworth (Horseheads, N.Y./Horseheads) along with junior Caroline Stevens (Syracuse, N.Y./Liverpool). Woodworth also earned the honor in 2023.

Kehrig is a Communication Sciences & Disorders major. A defender, she played in 14 matches with 13 starts and earned second team All-PSAC West honors. She finished fifth on the team in ground balls (25) and was tied for second in caused turnovers with 20.
Parsons is an Applied Exercise Science and appeared in all 17 matches with eight starts as an attacker. She finished with 17 goals and five assists for 22 points.

Woodworth departs as one of Gannon's all-time leading scorers and a two-time IWLCA Academic Honor Roll recipient. She is an Occupational Therapy major. Woodworth played in 14 matches with 13 starts, leading the Golden Knights with 58 points on 33 goals and 25 assists. She concluded her career with 147 goals and 48 assists for 195 career points.

Gannon's lone junior representative, Stevens is a Physician's Assistant major. The midfielder played in 15 matches with 14 starts, finishing as the second-leading scorer with a team-high 37 goals and 12 assists for 49 points. She also led Gannon with 96 draw controls, the third-highest season total.  
The IWLCA is a membership-led, professional association representing the nation's intercollegiate women's lacrosse coaches within Division I, II & III of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), and the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA). Currently there are over 500 institutional members and over 1,200 coaches and staff at NCAA Division I, Division II, Division III, and NAIA collegiate programs.
