Gannon junior Caroline Stevens (Syracuse, N.Y./Liverpool) has been named PSAC West Women's Lacrosse Athlete of the Week.
In two games last week, Stevens had 10 goals, 16 draw controls, four ground balls, three caused turnovers, and an assist.
The midfielder had one of the finest games of her career on Feb. 28 in Gannon's 13-12 loss to Molloy University. Stevens led Gannon with six goals as she helped the Golden Knights overcome an early five-goal deficit to take the lead in the fourth quarter. Stevens also had 12 draw controls in the game, which fell one short of Gannon's program record.
On March 2 against Bloomsburg, Stevens paced Gannon with four goals and an assist in a 15-8 loss. She added four draw controls, three ground balls, and two caused turnovers.
Through four games this season, Stevens leads Gannon with 14 goals, four assists and 18 points. She also paces the team with 27 draw controls, and she has nine ground balls and seven caused turnovers.
