The Gannon University women's swimming team delivered an outstanding performance at the Malone Invitational, culminating in
Emily Hedges (Peachtree Corners, Ga./St Pius X Catholic) setting a school record in the 200 Fly.
Head Coach
Milan Medo's team dominated the competition, finishing the three-day event with 1,640 points.
Oberlin came in second with 895 points, while Baldwin Wallace came in third with 745 points. A total of 16 teams participated in the invitational, collectively earning 8,013 points over the three days.
Hedges once again broke her own school record in the 200-yard butterfly, achieving a new time of 2:05.52. Last season, as a freshman, she first set the school record at Cleveland State's Magnus Cup with a time of 2:06.45 and then improved it again at the PSAC Championships with a time of 2:06.01.
The final day of competition saw Gannon win 16 races.

Gannon will begin its 2025 schedule on Jan. 11, when it competes against Niagara in New York. The dual meet with the Purple Eagles will start at 1 p.m. inside the Oxy Aquatic Center.
