The No. 7-ranked Gannon women's soccer team enters the weekend unbeaten and in first place in the PSAC West, but the Golden Knights will be looking for more when they visit Pitt-Johnstown on Saturday at Richland High School. This will be the start of the second half in the conference season
Coach
Colin Petersen's has one win and three ties in the past four games, and the Golden Knights generated just one goal in the three ties. They played to a scoreless tie with California (Pa.) and Indiana (Pa.) and finished with a 1-1 draw against Slippery Rock.
Gannon will seek to create more offense after racking up 34 shots, including 11 shots on goal, in a scoreless tie against IUP on Wednesday at McConnell Family Stadium.
With a 4-0-3 record in the PSAC West, Gannon has 15 standings points and enters Saturday one point ahead of second-place Slippery Rock and IUP.

Morgan Sinan (Cranberry Twp., Pa./Seneca Valley) earned the shutout in goal.
The Knights' defense continues to be outstanding. They have outscored the opposition 19-4 in nine games. They have outshot opponents 188-43, including an 87-27 edge in shots on goal.

Golden Knights to Watch:
Sophomore forward Brooklyn Respecki (McKean, Pa./General McLane): She leads Gannon and the PSAC West with eight goals while ranking 11th in the nation in Division II. Respecki leads D-II with 6.56 shots per game and ranks third with 3.0 shots on goal per game.
Sophomore midfielder Grace Emanuel (Erie, Pa./McDowell): She ranks second on the team with four goals and 11 points while tying for the team lead with three assists. Emanuel has a pair of two-goal games, including in a 4-2 win over Seton Hill on Oct. 5, which earned her PSAC West Athlete of the Week honors.
Graduate student goalie Morgan Sinan (Cranberry Twp., Pa./Seneca Valley): She has allowed just four goals this season in nine games and 795 minutes of play. Sinan has a 0.45 goals-against average, which ranks 24th in the nation. Her five shutouts tie her for 13th in Division II.
Scouting UPJ: The Mountain Cats are coming off a 4-0 victory at Clarion on Wednesday. Haley Neidig scored the first two goals of that game. Lydia Roman also scored in the first half to give UPJ a 3-0 halftime lead. Neidig leads the Mountain Cats with three goals while Sophia Lamesta and Roman have two goals apiece. Pitt-Johnstown entered the week with just four goals on the season, so UPJ doubled its scoring output on the season in the Clarion win. UPJ's Emma Morin has six shutouts in goal this season.
Next for the Golden Knights:
Gannon will visit Edinboro on Wednesday at 6 p.m.
