Eleven Golden Knights Place at Ohio Intercollegiate Open

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Gannon men's wrestling team competed in the Bob Del Rosa Ohio Intercollegiate Open on Sunday, with a total of 11 Golden Knights placing. A total of 19 Gannon wrestlers competed.

Two Golden Knights placed in the Open Division, with Chase McLaughlin (Jamestown, Pa./Jamestown Area) taking home second place at 133 lbs. while competing unattached. Hunter Robison (Edinboro, Pa./Saegertown) came in sixth at 125 lbs.

Nine additional Golden Knights were place winners in the Freshman/Sophomore Division. Luke Mentzer (Chambersburg, Pa./Chambersburg Area) led the way with a first place finish at 133 lbs. Thre Golden Knights picked up second place finishes. Jacob Wright (Arnold, Md./Mount Saint Joseph), competing unattached, was second at 141 lbs., with Austyn Adams (Euclid, Ohio/Cleveland Central Catholic) second at 157 lbs. and Anthony Glessner (Middletown, Pa./Bishop McDevitt) the runner-up at 197 lbs.   

Gannon returns to action on Saturday, November 18 at the Findlay Open.
