Former Gannon University football standout
Kory Curtis (Cape Coral, Fla./Island Coast) has signed a contract with the Quad City Steamwheelers of the Indoor Football League.
The team and Curtis announced the move on Monday on social media. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The 6-foot 4-inch, 235-pound quarterback set multiple Gannon records in 2022. He was named Team MVP and All-PSAC West First Team after leading the Golden Knights to a share of the PSAC West regular-season title with a 6-1 record. The Knights finished 8-3 overall.

In two seasons, he completed 370-of-652 attempts for 5,134 yards, 47 touchdowns, and just 11 interceptions. As a senior, he completed 213-of-340 passes for 2,879 yards with a school-record 27 TD passes compared to just four INTs.
Curtis had five games with 300-or-more yards, including 418 yards and 3 TDs vs. Clarion and 387 yards and 4 TDs in the season finale vs. Shippensburg.
Perhaps his finest game came against nationally ranked IUP in 2022, when he completed 23-of-28 passes (82.1 percent) for 342 yards and four touchdowns to lead GU to a 43-36 victory at McConnell Family Stadium. He also rushed for two touchdowns in the game.
Curtis has signed with the Quad City Steamwheelers for the 2024 season, which will run from March through July. The team is based in Moline, Ill.
The IFL, which will begin its 16th season, is the longest continuously running indoor football league. The league plays 15-game seasons.
