Competitive Cheer and Dance performs four times on Day 2 of NCA & NDA Nationals

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – All four of Gannon University's Competitive Cheer and Dance teams competed on a busy Day Two of the NCA & NDA Collegiate National Championships, including the first performance of the week for Hip-Hop Dance--as the team slotted into fifth place with a preliminary performance score of 87.1429, claiming one of six spots in tomorrow's finals.
 
The day began for the Golden Knights with the Dance Team Performance finals and an event score of 85.56 to claim a sixth-place finish. The Coed cheer team also earned sixth place with an event score of 89.6644 in the Division II Advanced Small Coed category.
 
Rounding out the day was the All-Girl cheer team in the Division II Intermediate All-Girl category, securing seventh place with a 92.426 event score. Dallas Baptist was the overall All-Girl champion in that division, while fellow PSAC institution Slippery Rock finished as runner-up.
 
Hip-Hop Dance competes in tomorrow's finals along with five other institutions, which includes first-place Valdosta State (prelim performance score of 91.4857), Lindenwood University (90.8286), California St University -Dominguez Hills (88.8571), Limestone University (87.6571), and Oklahoma Baptist University (86.5714). Performances begin on Saturday, April 9 just after 11:00 p.m, with Gannon's performance scheduled for 11:18 a.m.
