DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — The Gannon competitive dance team turned in a fifth-place finish Saturday morning to cap an impressive weekend for the Golden Knights at the 2021 NCA & NDA Collegiate Cheer and Dance Championships.
HIP HOP STANDINGS
The lone team competing after Gannon's three teams that each turned in the highest nationals finish in program history Friday, the Golden Knights scored an 86.40 percent perfection score Saturday to come in just behind fourth-place Oklahoma Baptist in the Division II hip hop division finals.
The Golden Knights scored over 8.00 in every category, including an 8.72 in performance impression and 8.56 in staging.
This year was the first time Gannon competed in the hip hop division. Their finish makes it four top-five finishes this year for the Golden Knight competitive cheer and dance program.
