ERIE, Pa. — The Gannon competitive dance team got its 2021 season underway with a virtual competition Sunday morning, competing uncontested in the team performance division in the NDA Virtual March Championship.
The Golden Knights picked up impressive marks in jazz quality of movement and choreography, as well as overall uniformity and staging to record an overall score of 84.13

The Golden Knights took part in its first in-person competition Sunday as well, with dance competing in team performance and hip hop, and cheer performing in the coed and game day divisions at the Alma Showcase. Those scores should be revealed by Monday morning.
Gannon will host its annual Road to Daytona Showcase on Sunday, March 28 at the Hammermill Center, featuring virtual entries from a number of teams, as well as exhibition performances by all the Gannon teams.
Beginning Saturday, March 20 and running weekends (Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays) through Sunday, April 24, each Gannon student-athlete participating in the day's contests will be permitted two family members or members or their immediate pod to attend home events at Gannon University.
