OAKLAND, Calif. – Three Golden Knights received Western Water Polo Association All-Conference honors Thursday afternoon announced by the league's offices.

Nicole Wiemken (Napoleon, Ohio/Napoleon) earned First Team accolades as a utility/2-meter while
Campbell Ruh (Walnut, Calif./Lutheran High School of Orange County) and
Libby Tirak (Erie, Pa./Villia Maria) were named to the Second and Third Teams.Â

Wiemken shows why she is one of the top scorers in the WWPA as she enters the post-season averaging 3.1 goals-per-game and 4.5 points-per-game to lead the league. She receives all-conference recognition for the third consecutive year as the junior has registered a team- and career-high 67 points. She enters the conference tournament with 47 goals which is fourth in the WWPA.

Ruh receives her seventh WWPA career accolade as the senior continues to move up the program's all-time rankings. She stands fifth in goals (186), fourth in assists (107) and ninth in sprint-offs (25). The senior follows Wiemken in the WWPA leader board averaging 3.7 points-per-game to rank fourth.

Tirak earns Third Team honors for the first time in her career as the Erie native averages 1.3 goals-per-game which is seventh in the league. She has seen action in 15 games recording 20 goals and six steals.

Salem's Chloe Woodbrine was named the Player of the Year while Rachel Vliestra from Mercyhrust was labeled the Newcomer of the Year.

Gannon (3-12, 1-5 WWPA) returns to action this weekend as they head to O'Fallon, Ill. for the WWPA Championships hosted by McKendree. The No. 5 seed Golden Knights will open the tournament with a matchup against No. 3 seed McKendree at 2:30 p.m. ET before facing the No. 2 seed Mercyhurst at 6 p.m. ET.
