EVENT NOTES

Gannon charged back with first-period falls from Guzzi and Huffman, followed by a stick from Sidoruk at the 3:59 mark to pick up 18 team points in the final three bouts and come back for a 27-23 win against the Jayhawks.
Corigliano picked up a pin earlier, and Abbott earned a 6-3 decision to get the Golden Knights on the board early in that one.
Gannon and Thiel put together 12 bouts with no team scoring in their matchup, with Marfinetz, Abbott, Crislip, Cook and Huffman earning wins.
All 12 Gannon wrestlers competing Saturday were on the mat for the first time this year, with the addition to the schedule allowing the Golden Knights to bump their number to 37 student-athletes who wrestled at least one match this season.

UP NEXT

Gannon sends eight individuals to the 2021 NCAA Division II Wrestling Championships next weekend in St. Louis.
