Schedules For Bulk Of February Action Announced

ERIE, Pa. — Gannon athletics has announced contests for the month of February, including the remainder of the winter sports schedules.
 
Schedules continue to remain flexible, and additions and subtractions are still possible. Stay up to date with the latest additions to the Gannon Athletics schedule all season at the Schedule Update Page.
 
Fall and spring sports will begin play in late February or early March, and those schedules will be released when finalized.
 
Wrapping up a number of winter sport schedules prior to their postseason, men's basketball has added a two-game set at the Hammermill Center against Salem on Feb. 23 and 24. The Knights also added the road half of the series against Mercyhurst, heading to the Lakers on Feb. 27.
 
Women's basketball also added to its schedule, heading to St. Rose for back-to-back games on Feb. 26 and 27, as well as a full late-season home-and-home against Mercyhurst, going to the Lakers on March 3 and hosting at the Hammermill Center on March 6.
 
Women's wrestling will stay busy as well, heading to the Tiffin Duals on Feb. 7, then coming back home on Feb. 13 to host a round robin tournament at the Recreation and Wellness Center. Their national championships for NCAA schools are scheduled for March 5-6, and a regional on Feb. 20, both at a site to be determined.
 
Men's wrestling will next hit the mat on Feb. 6, staying in-town at Mercyhurst, where the Golden Knights will face Lake Erie in a similar setup to last Wednesday's round robin at the Hammermill Center. Gannon will head back to Mercyhurst to face Ashland on Feb. 14, with an NCAA regional on Feb. 27 and the NCAA Championships March 12-13, both at sites to be determined.
 
Swimming and diving will head to Carlisle for a PSAC last chance meet on Feb. 27, three weeks before the NCAA Championships in Birmingham, Alabama March 17-20. The PSAC Championships will be contested after nationals this season, taking place April 21-24 at the York YMCA.
 
Men's water polo, which has already announced its conference season, has added games against Austin College at the Prep-Villa Hallman pool on Feb. 19, 20 and 21.
 
Volleyball will become the second fall sport to compete in 2020-21, opening its season Feb. 6 at the Hammermill Center against Hillsdale. The Knights will turn around for road trips to Walsh on Feb. 9 and Georgian Court on Feb. 14, and stay on the road for matches at Salem (Feb. 19), Hillsdale (Feb. 27) and Findlay (Feb. 28). A number of dates this year will be doubleheaders for Gannon, playing the same opponent in back-to-back matches.
 
All athletic events will follow guidance from Gannon University's Return To Campus Plan, Gannon Athletics' Return To Play Plan, the NCAA's Resocialization of Collegiate Sport, and all state and local government regulations.
