LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) concluded its week of academic awards Friday by announcing the 2025-26 Top Team GPA Awards, with Gannon earning conference-best team GPAs in four sports and tying for the second-most Top Team GPA Awards in the league.

On Wednesday, the Golden Knights placed 300 student-athletes (156 men and 144 women) on the 2025-26 PSAC Scholar-Athlete list, leading the conference with 69 percent of their student-athletes earning Scholar-Athlete recognition.

On Thursday, Gannon men's soccer senior midfielder Sverre Orten was named the 2025-26 PSAC Pete Nevins Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year, becoming the fourth Golden Knight in program history to earn the conference's highest individual academic honor.

Friday's announcement recognized the conference's top-performing teams in the classroom. The Top Team GPA Awards, now in their 15th year, honor the team with the highest cumulative grade-point average in each of the PSAC's sponsored sports.

Gannon led the PSAC in four sports during the 2025-26 academic year, earning Top Team GPA honors in women's cross country, men's golf, men's swimming and women's swimming. The Golden Knights tied East Stroudsburg for the second-most conference-leading team GPAs, trailing only Slippery Rock's seven.
