ERIE, Pa. — The Gannon men's wrestling team has announced its first two competitions of the 2020-21 season, as the Golden Knights will travel to take on a pair of Division I opponents over the next two weeks.
Gannon will make its season debut with a dual at Buffalo on Thursday, Jan. 14. The 7 p.m. start against the Bulls will be the second consecutive season that the teams have faced off. No fans will be permitted, but the dual will be live streamed
here.
In addition, the Knights will travel to Kent State for a dual on Jan. 20, with the first whistle scheduled for 5 p.m. No fans will be permitted, but the contest against the Golden Flashes is expected to be live streamed.
Gannon heads into the 2020-21 season with nine former NCAA qualifiers on the roster, and will start the year ranked No. 7 in the nation by both the National Wrestling Coaches Association and The Open Mat.
