GAME NOTES
- Friday's meeting was the second time the two teams faced off. Hawaii Pacific earned a win at home in the first meeting in 2017.
- Gannon won 10 heats, tied with the Sharks in two others, and the two teams split the six events, with Gannon taking two of the first three events, and HPU grabbing the final two.
- Gannon set new season highs in seven heats, including all three heats in the toss. The Knights dropped just one tenth of a point from their starting value in the toss event.
- That included a 9.90 in the synchronized toss, which had a start value of 9.90, giving the Knights their first perfect score of the season.
- Gannon suffered a pair of injuries during the tumbling event that not only hurt those scores, but also forced a reshuffling of the lineup for the team event. The Knights still turned in their second-best score of the year there, netting a 94.49 to push HPU to the very end.
