AROUND THE LEAGUE
SERIES HISTORY
  • All-Time Series: Indiana leads 8-3
  • First Meeting: Nov. 1, 2008: Indiana 35, Gannon 10
  • Last Meeting: Oct 20, 2018, Indiana 43, Gannon 34
  • How It Happened: In a game that finished 6 hours and 27 minutes after it was scheduled to kick off, Gannon built a lead against Indiana, but the guests were able to use a 20-0 run from the final play of the first half until late in the fourth quarter to take control and snap the Golden Knights' winning streak.

SCOUTING GANNON
  • Gannon moved right down the field to net a touchdown on its opening drive last week, but California answered with one of its own, and slowly chipped away to build a lead and pull away for a 54-14 win.
  • Tre McNeill (Philadelphia, Pa./La Salle College HS) recorded double-digit tackles for the second straight week, and has shot up to 52 tackles on the season.
  • A second-quarter interception pushed Gannon's streak of forcing a turnover to eight games dating back to last season. The Golden Knights have forced 15 turnovers on the year, a mark that is 34th in the nation.

SCOUTING IUP
  • The IUP offense rolled to 601 yards, including 370 on the ground to skip past Clarion 59-21 last week. On the other side of the ball, the Crimson Hawks forced seven turnovers and held the Golden Eagles to just 58 rushing yards.
  • First-year starter Quinton Maxwell has kept the IUP offense chugging along. The quarterback is seventh in the nation in passing efficiency (175.7), fifth in passing touchdowns (20) and fifth in yards per completion (16.03).
  • A big part of that success is receiver Duane Brown, who leads the nation with 12 receiving touchdowns on just 3.9 catches per game.

UP NEXT
  • The Golden Knights make a much shorter road trip next week, heading across town to face Mercyhurst in the Battle for the Niagara Cup.
