The Lady Knights look to even the season series with the Griffins Wednesday afternoon with a 3 p.m. match vs. Seton Hill. SHU took the previous match up earlier this season winning 4-2 on their turf.
Maddie North (Leysdown-on-Sea, England/The Westlands School) and
Emily Cekella (Harmony, Pa./Seneca Valley) both scored in the final 20 minutes of play vs. SHU. Gannon is coming off a 3-2 overtime win over Pitt-Johnstown.
Vanessa Coccurello (Hamilton, Ontario/St. Jean de Brebeuf) scored the game winner just 40 seconds into overtime. The Griffins are on a two-game losing streak after losing last week to California and Edinboro. Gannon leads the all-time series 8-2-2 and hopes to add another in the win column Wednesday at McConnell Family Stadium.

Gannon will host Merchyhurst Saturday night at 5 p.m. at McConnell Family Stadium. Prior to the match, the Lady Knights will honor their senior class. Merychurst's only match this week will be against Gannon and they are coming off a 0-0 draw to Edinboro last week. They also beat California 4-1 helping them improve in conference standings. Merychurst leads the all-time series 24-7-5 and they picked up a 3-0 win over the Knights earlier this season on their home turf.

The Golden Knights return home for a Wednesday doubleheader with the women's team to take on Seton Hill. This is the first of two matches between the teams this season. The Knights are coming off a perfect week after going 3-0. There was no shortage of goals as Gannon beat their opponents last week 14-3.
Alex Lee Yaw (Jamestown, N.Y./Mercyhurst Prep) finished the week with two goals and five assists, while
Ben Andrews (Saxonburg, Pa./Knoch) and
Austin Ludwik (Gold Coast, Australia/The Southport School) each added two goals. In their last game, the Griffins played to a 0-0 double overtime draw with California. They also picked up a win vs. UPJ last week. Gannon leads the all-time series 8-2-3. The teams met twice last season. They played to a 1-1 draw in the PSAC tournament quarterfinals and the Knights won the regular season match 2-0.

The Knights host Mercyhurst Saturday night to close this week's play. Merychurst is coming off a 2-2 tie with California in their only match last week. They will play Salem prior to making the trip across town to McConnell Family Stadium. The Lakers lead the all-time series 31-18-3. Gannon beat Mercyhurst 3-1 last season.
Joe Knox (Gold Coast, Australia/The Southport School) tied the match in the first half and Lee Yaw scored two goals in the second leading to a Gannon win.

Volleyball is set to begin a two-game road swing at Shepherd on Thursday night. The Lady Knights are currently on an 11-match win streak and have opened PSAC play 8-0 for the first time since 2011.
Ashley Beyers (Lanark, Ill./Eastland) leads Gannon after posting her fourth double-double of the season against Millersville with a season-high 54 assists and season-best 20 digs. Last season, Gannon blanked Shepherd, 3-0, in the NCAA Division II Atlantic Regional.

The Golden Knights wrap up their final regular season weekend at the Penn State Behrend Invitational with two games Saturday. Gannon will play Iona to open the day and finish with a game vs. the host Penn State Behrend. The Knights are riding a nine game win streak after finishing another perfect year of conference play.
Thomas Squeglia (Erie, Pa./Cathedral Prep) led Gannon with nine goals last weekend and made a team-best four steals.
Ethan Hamp (Chicago, Ill./Von Steuben) added eight goals, three assists, and finished with a shot percentage of .800. Iona leads the all-time series 5-1, while Gannon leads the all-time series 46-0 over Behrend.

Women's Wrestling Makes Home Debut Against Adrian Sunday Afternoon

One of just two home events for the Lady Knights this season, the team hosts Adrian Sunday. Gannon is coming off of an unbeaten day at the Ferrum Duals on Oct. 5 to open its season, grabbing wins over host Ferrum (28-21) and Presbyterian (40-8).

Nikoly Dos Santos (Matthews, N.C./Providence),
Caleeann Blarr (Girard, Pa./Girard) and
Gabrielle Malinowski (Waterford, Pa./Fort Leboeuf) all went 2-0 to lead the Knights. Adrian is making its 2019-20 season debut, and turned in its best finish at WCWA Nationals a year ago, placing 16th. The Bulldogs went 6-0 in duals last season, including a 42-6 win over Gannon.Â
