HOW IT HAPPENED – GAME ONE
  • Gannon and Seton Hill began game three of the four-game series in Greensburg, Pa., on Saturday.
  • The Golden Knights began the scoring action in the fourth inning. With Nate Cardy (Franklin, Pa./Franklin) aboard, Elijah Quiceno (Berryville, Va./Stonebridge) crushed a triple to center field, plating Cardy.
  • Dominic Mori (Greensburg, Pa./Hempfield Area) followed with a single, scoring Quiceno from third base. Gannon up a pair, 2-0.
  • Gannon wasn't done, though. Charles Benack (Jefferson Hills, Pa./Thomas Jefferson) put a ball in play that was mishandled by Seton Hill. The error allowed Mori to run home, putting Gannon up, 3-0, in the fourth inning.
  • Seton Hill got a run back in the fifth inning. Friday's extra-inning's hero, Garret Vrbanic, scored on a Buckley single to left-center. Gannon continued to lead, 3-1.
  • Gannon added three more in the top of the seventh inning. Three consecutive singles from Gregory Nicolia (Grand Island, N.Y./Grand Island), Mike Colosi (Niagara Falls, N.Y./Niagara Falls) and Matt Oruch (Blue Bell, Pa./Wissahickon), followed by a Quiceno double, ballooned the lead to 6-1.
  • Jason Beaumont (Tallmadge, Ohio/Tallmadge) closed the game out in the bottom of the seventh for Gannon, as the Golden Knights sealed the game one victory.

GAME NOTES – GAME ONE
  • Quiceno led the Golden Knights with a 3-for-4 game, hitting in three RBI and scoring a run. Quiceno fell just a homer shy of the cycle.
  • Joey Colosi (Niagara Falls, N.Y./Niagara Falls) tossed 5 1/3 innings of four-hit, one-run baseball. He also struck out six batters while walking none.
  • Oruch and Kyle Cox (Dorchester, N.J./Millville) also had two-hit games for the Golden Knights.

HOW IT HAPPENED – GAME TWO
  • Seton Hill began the game with five-spot in the first inning. Two Gannon errors helped the Griffins score four unearned runs. Seton Hill had a 5-0 lead after one inning of play.
  • Gannon responded in the third inning. Singles from Oruch and Cardy had runners on when Quiceno hit a ball that was misplayed by Seton Hill. Oruch scored on the play to pull Gannon within, 5-1.
  • Mori followed with a single through the left side. Both Quiceno and Cardy scored on the play.
  • Gannon trailed 5-3 after three innings of play.
  • The Golden Knights couldn't rally, though. Gannon would only collect two hits in the final four innings and fell, 5-3.

GAME NOTES – GAME TWO
  • Deven Judy (Belle Vernon, Pa./Belle Vernon Area) pitched a complete game, throwing six innings and allowing just three hits, five runs, one earned. He also struck out six and walked one.
  • Oruch, Cardy and Mori each had two hits in the game.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
