The Short Story: The Gannon women's swimming team concluded action at the Crimson Hawk Dual Challenge hosted by Indiana (Pa.) at the Pidgeon Natatorium Saturday. The Lady Knights were swept by host Crimson Hawks, 226-102, and Bloomsburg, 216-113. The Lady Knights' top performance of the second day came in a first-place showing in the 400-yard freestyle relay. Among the Lady Knights' 13 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) qualifying times, junior Madeline Summers (Lake Stevens, Wash. / Lake Stevens) claimed three standards.

Top-Finishes:
- Gannon earned first place (3:39.34) in the 400-yard freestyle relay. The team included Summers, senior Amanda Knapp (Twinsburg, Ohio / Twinsburg), senior Katie Joseph (McDonald, Ohio / McDonald) and junior Morgan Lydic (Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio / Cuyahoga Falls).
- The team of Summers, Borza, Knapp and junior Emily Nottingham (Titusville, Pa. / Titusville) earned third (1:53.68) in the 200-yard medley relay.
- Knapp secured two PSAC qualifying times, while Summers posted three conference times. Knapp finished third (1:10.44) in the 100-yard breaststroke and fourth in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:33.51). Summers captured third in the 100-yard backstroke (1:01.69), second in the 100-yard freestyle (54.03) and added a PSAC time as the lead in the 400-yard freestyle relay.
- Led by Summers' runner-up performance in the 100-yard freestyle, four of the top-seven spots in the event were held by Lady Knight swimmers. Following Summers' second-place finish were Lydic in third (54.88), Nottingham in fifth (55.29) and Joseph in seventh (56.09). All four performances met conference standards.
- Freshman Michelle Franzen (Soderkoping, Sweden / Ebersteinska Gymnasiet) claimed two conference standards in both the 100-yard butterfly and 200-yard butterfly.
- The 200-yard medley relay team of Summers, sophomore Gabrielle Borza (Pittsburgh, Pa. / North Allegheny), Knapp and Nottingham finished third (1:53.68). Borza also posted a third-place (2:33.02) showing in the 200-yard breaststroke with a PSAC qualifying time.
