The Short Story: The Gannon women's swimming team dropped a 110-95 decision to NCAA Division I Canisius Saturday afternoon on Senior Day. Due to travel issues, each team was forced to compete in their respective pool resulting in a virtual meet. In the loss, the Lady Knights claimed three first-place finishes including two from senior
Amanda Knapp (Twinsburg, Ohio / Twinsburg) in the 200-yard IM and 100-yard backstroke. Prior to the dual, the Lady Knights honored five seniors.
Results: Click Here Back Story:- The format and time of the dual was changed to accommodate travel issues due to the wintry weather that struck the Western New York region. The change was in response to multiple factors including the shutdown of the New York State Thruway from Ripley, Pa. to Hamburg, N.Y.
- This marks the second time Gannon has competed virtually against an opponent in the last five years. The last time came against SUNY Fredonia Dec. 11, 2009.
- The final home dual of the regular season marked Senior Day for 11 student-athletes including six Golden Knights and five Lady Knights.
Senior Day:- The Senior Day celebration featured five Lady Knights. In addition, six Lady Knights were honored prior to the action.

Top-Finishes:- The Lady Knights claimed five combined Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC)-qualifying times.
- Knapp recorded conference-qualifying times in her pair of first-place finishes in the 200-yard IM (2:16.82) and 100-yard backstroke (1:03.52). In the 100-yard backstroke, the Lady Knights completed a sweep of the top-three spots.
- Freshman
Michelle Franzen (Soderkoping, Sweden / Ebersteinska Gymnasiet) posted the Lady Knights' other first-place performance on the day. Franzen earned the top spot in the 500-yard freestyle with a conference-qualifying time of 5:28.27. The freshman also place second (1:01.13) in the 100-yard butterfly.
- Securing a runner-up finish in the 50-yard freestyle, junior
Emily Nottingham (Titusville, Pa. / Titusville) registered a conference-qualifying standard of 25.80.
- The Lady Knights have dropped back-to-back duals to the Golden Griffin women after winning six consecutive meets dating back to the 2007-08 season.
