INDIANA, Pa. - The Gannon men's and women's swimming teams concluded action against host Indiana (Pa.) and the Bloomsburg Huskies at the Crimson Hawk Dual Challenge on Saturday at Pidgeon Natatorium. On the women's side, the No. 25 Lady Knights were edged by the Huskies, 206-197, and fell to the host Crimson Hawks, 275-137. On the men's side, the Golden Knights dropped decisions to both the Crimson Hawks, 248-110, and the Huskies, 252-114. The Lady Knights fall to 7-6 overall and the Golden Knights slide to 3-7.

Sophomore Madeline Summers (Lake Stevens, Wash. / Lake Stevens) earned her second Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC)-standard time in the 100-yard backstroke with a top-finish (1:00.19).

In the 200-yard backstroke, freshman Abby Wu (Milford, Ohio/Ursuline Academy) captured second place with a conference-qualifying time (2:14.26).

Junior Amanda Knapp (Twinsburg, Ohio/Twinsburg) and sophomore Brittney Camlin (Jeannette, Pa./Hempfield Area) finished in the top two of the 100-breaststroke, respectively. Knapp missed out on a conference standard by four-tenths of a second (1:10.44), but will make the trip to the conference championships in other events. Camlin placed second (1:11.59) in the event.

On the men's side in the 400-yard IM, sophomore Mike Lawrence (Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario/Notre-Dame-des-Grands-Lacs) and freshman Drew Wolter (Clarksville, Md./Atholton) each earned PSAC-qualifying times. Lawrence placed second (4:20.29) followed by Wolter in fifth (4:28.61). Wolter also earned a conference time in the 1000-yard freestyle with a fourth-place performance (10:01.48).

Sophomore Denys Fedorchenko (Zaborizhia, Ukraine) earned his 24th conference-qualifying time this season with a first-place finish (1:42.84) in the 200-yard freestyle. Fedorchenko also confirmed his second PSAC time in the 200-yard breaststroke with his second top-finish of the day (2:08.70). Lawrence finished in the top-five of the event, placing fifth (2:17.93) with a conference time.

Securing his first conference standard in the 100-yard backstroke, sophomore Ryan Carter (Yorktown, Va./Grafton) placed fourth place (56.17). Also meeting his first conference standard in the 200-yard butterfly was junior Adam Chrzanowski (Erie, Pa. / Cathedral Prep) with a second-place finish (2:01.22).

Gannon returns to action at the PSAC Championships on Feb. 20-23 at the Graham Aquatic Center at the YMCA in York, Pa.
