Gannon Women's Water Polo Falls 16-3 to #8 Michigan Friday Night

Coach Don Sherman and the Lady Knights will play twice Saturday at the Wolverine Invitational.
ANN ARBOR, Mich.- The Gannon women's water polo team lost to eighth-ranked University of Michigan 16-3 Friday night at Canham Natatorium. 

The Wolverines went up 9-0 after one period and did not look back. UM led 10-1 at halftime and outscored GU 4-1 in the third quarter. 

Molly Andrews (Tustin, Calif./Tustin), Colleen Harriger (Erie, Pa./McDowell), and Annie Greenhill (Brea, Calif./Brea Olinda) each scored a goal for the Lady Knights. Janelle Bartman (Buffalo Grove, Ill./Stevenson) made four saves and Libbie Guina (Houston, Texas/Clear Brook) made one in net. 

Gannon (2-11) plays twice Saturday, March 13, as part of the Wolverine Invitational. The Knights face Siena at 8:45 a.m. and then Grove City College at 4:30 p.m.
