LEWISBURG, Pa.- The 10th-ranked Gannon women's water polo team lost at Bucknell 19-4 Friday evening. The Bison are hosting the Bucknell Tournament this weekend in Lewisburg, Pa. Kendra Plackemeier (Bonsall, Calif./Fallbrook) scored two goals for the Lady Knights in the loss. 

Bucknell jumped out to a 5-2 lead after one quarter and led 10-4 at halftime. The Bison added nine second-half goals to win by 15. 

Freshman Kelly Steininger (Vernon Hills, Ill./Vernon Hills) and Plackemeier each scored in the first period for GU. Molly Andrews (Tustin, Calif./Tustin) and Plackemeier both scored goals in the second quarter. Libbie Guina (Friendswood, Texas/Clear Brook) made 10 saves in net and freshman Janelle Bartman (Buffalo Grove, Ill./Stevenson) added nine saves for the Knights. 

Gannon continues action at the Bucknell Tournament Saturday, February 13. The Knights face Marist College at 3:15 p.m. and then Maryland at 8:15 p.m.
