Evan Euler got his first win of the season Friday at Clarion.
CLARION, Pa. - The Gannon University baseball team split a doubleheader at Clarion Friday, beating the Golden Eagles 7-4 in the first game and dropping the second game 5-3.

The Golden Knights (3-20) scored four runs in the first inning of the first game and Evan Euler (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Hills) did the rest. Jim Travers (Erie, Pa./Cathedral Prep) doubled and then Eric Harpster (Erie, Pa./McDowell) got hit by a pitch to start the early rally. Greg Radwan (Farnham, N.Y./St. Francis) walked and Travers came around to score on a passed ball. Kolten Hoffman (West Middlesex, Pa./West Middlesex) followed with an RBI single and ShaIne Patsilevas (Cranberry Township, Pa./Seneca Valley) had a base hit to drive in two runs.

Euler pitched 6 2/3 innings, allowing four runs on nine hits. Radwan came on to record the game's final out, forcing Erik Kempton to line out to centerfield with a runner on and four Clarion runs in for the inning.

Radwan went 3-3 with three RBIs, a walk, and a run scored. Travers and Hoffman each had two hits for Gannon.

GU scored twice in the first frame of game two, but Clarion responded with four runs of their own to take control. The Knights had just four hits in the game, as Harpster and Hoffman each had two.
