INDIANA, PA- The Golden Knights dropped a midweek road test to Ashland by an 8-5 final, falling to 6-14 on the season. The Golden Knights would take a 4-1 lead in the second inning, but back to back frames (third, fourth) of three runs for the Eagles proved to be the difference.
Hunter Troiano (Pittsburgh, Pa./Seneca Valley) led the Golden Knights with three hits and a trio of RBI's, while Dom Costello (North Olmsted, Ohio/North Olmsted) also plated two runs in the game. Gannon outhit Ashland, 10-9.
GU returns to conference play on Friday, hosting their home opener in a doubleheader against Clarion. First pitch of game one is set for 1:00 pm.

- Hunter Finds the Gaps- Hitting in the second spot on Tuesday, Hunter Troiano (Pittsburgh, Pa./Seneca Valley) provided an early spark for the Gannon offense.
