CALIFORNIA, Pa. - The Gannon University women's soccer team lost 1-0 at California (Pa.) Saturday afternoon. Amanda Heister scored in the 65th minute for the match's lone goal. Sabrina Chirco (Brampton, Ontario/St. Thomas Aquinas) made seven saves in a losing effort. 

Gannon (8-4-1, 6-2-1) outshot Cal (8-3-3, 4-3-2) 15-14 and had four corner kicks to just one for the Vulcans. Courtney Rowan (Mentor, Ohio/Notre-Dame Cathedral Latin) led the Lady Knights with five shots. 

The Lady Knights will host Clarion Friday, October 17. The match will kick off at 7 p.m.
