Nickerson led the Gannon women's golf team to a second-place finish at the Mercyhurst Invitational last weekend. The Lady Knights were fourth after the first round, but rallied during the final round to finish second. The squad improved its team score by 16 strokes on the final day. Nickerson tied a career-high with a pair of 80s, finishing eighth out of 49 golfers. The sophomore is averaging 83.8 strokes per round this season, an improvement of three strokes from her freshman campaign.
