Jones was also named Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Western Division Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this season. Jones led the Gannon football team to a 66-41 victory against East Stroudsburg during the regular-season finale last Saturday, helping the Golden Knights conclude the season with a 9-2 record. After clinching a share of the PSAC Western Division title, Gannon tied the 2003 NCAA Division II Independent team for most victories in school history. Jones rushed for a school-record 321 yards and two touchdowns in only three quarters, before being removed for the entire fourth quarter. The junior tailback rushed for 128 yards and two touchdowns during the first quarter, averaging 11.6 yards on 11 carries. He added 92 yards on nine carries in the second quarter for a 10.2 average, totaling 220 yards during the first half. Jones concluded his day with 101 yards on 10 attempts in the third quarter for a 10.1 average. The Peninsula, Ohio, native shattered the school's single-game rushing record, easily surpassing the previous record of 255 by Jason Cunningham against Tiffin on September 1, 2001. Jones also set a new school record for all-purpose yards with 321, overtaking the previous mark of 286 set by Jon Richardson against Ashland on November 10, 2007. He used his big day to produce the best rushing season in school history with 1,628 yards in only 10 games. The output bettered the total of 1,588 yards set last year byJansen Jones. Jones' 16 rushing touchdowns tied the school record set by Richardson in 2009. His ninth 100-yard rushing game was the most ever by a Golden Knight, breaking Sterling Pierce's school record of eight set in 1998. Jones capped his record-setting day with the best single-season scoring total, finishing with 108 points on 18 touchdowns. Those figures topped Jansen Jones' marks of 102 and 17 produced last season. Brock Jonesfinished the season with 1,826 all-purpose yards which also surpassed Jansen Jones' school-record of 1,817 set last season.
