Rodrigues led the Gannon women’s soccer team to a perfect 2-0 record during the opening weekend of action. The senior midfielder accounted for both Gannon goals during a 2-1 overtime victory at Edinboro in the season opener. She initially gave the Lady Knights a 1-0 lead with an unassisted goal in the 15th minute, ripping a shot off an Edinboro defender and into the net. Rodriguez set off a celebration with the game-winner 6:15 into overtime. The Georgetown, Ontario, native buried a straight-on shot from 15 yards out to end the contest. Rodriguez now has 13 goals during her collegiate career. She took a team-high four shots during a 1-0 shutout of Mansfield Saturday afternoon to complete a two-match opening-week sweep.
