For the second straight week, a Golden Knight topped his career point total in one week. This time, sophomore Alex Perri exploded offensively for Gannon, scoring four goals and assisting on another as Gannon went 2-0 last week. He netted the game winner against Shepherd while assisting on the game winner against Lock Haven. Perri, who hadn't recorded a point during the first 19 matches of his career, totaled nine during the week.
Perri gave Gannon an early 1-0 lead against Lock Haven, scoring less than three minutes into the contest. With the score tied late in the second half, Perri's pass cut perfectly through the defense to set up Sharbaugh for the game-winner. Perri then put on a show against Shepherd, who entered the contest ranked fourth in the NSCAA Atlantic regional rankings. The sophomore scored in the 31st, 59th and 82nd minute for his first career hat trick. For the week, Perri scored four times on just seven shots.
