Sazama has been named Gannon's Female Student-Athlete of the Week for the second time this season, becoming the school's first multiple winner of the year. The senior outside hitter averaged five kills and seven digs per set as the Gannon volleyball team picked up two important road victories last weekend at Indiana (Pa.) (3-0) and California (Pa.) (3-1). She also added one assist, three service aces and one block. Sazama began the weekend with 15 kills and 26 digs during a sweep of IUP. Her 26 digs tied a season-high previously set against Shippensburg. The trip concluded with 20 kills and 23 digs against Cal. It marked the sixth time this season she reached the 20-kill plateau and second time she had at least 20 kills and 20 digs in the same match.
