Boedicker was also named Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Western Division Offensive Player of the Week on Sunday. Boedicker led Gannon to a 51-48 shootout victory against regionally-ranked Slippery Rock Saturday afternoon at Gannon University Field. The junior quarterback was 11-of-15 for 247 yards and three touchdowns through the air. In addition, he rushed for 108 yards and one touchdown on 12 carries. In all, he accounted for 355 yards of total offense and four touchdowns.
The Northfield, Ohio native set career-highs in passing yards, passing touchdowns and total offensive yards. He moved into sixth place all-time at Gannon in career passing yards (1,906) while remaining sixth all-time in total offense (2,971).
Boedicker helped Gannon amass 558 yards of total offense against the PSAC’s third-best scoring defense. The squad finished five points shy of the school’s single-game scoring record while the 51 points were the most in game since November 8, 2003.
Trailing 27-16, Boedicker gave Gannon momentum heading into halftime as he recorded a 61-yard touchdown run with 1:22 left in the second quarter. He then connected on two touchdown passes in the first 2:57 of the third quarter, giving the Golden Knights a 37-27 lead.
