2022: Competed in all eight races … fell just shy of turning in her best time in a 6K race with a time of 26:05.00 in the Div. II/Div. III Challenge, three seconds off her top time … placed 50th in the race and was Gannon’s third runner across the finish line … placed fourth in the Fredonia State Invitational, covering the 4K course in 17:16.76 … placed 145th at the PSAC Championships (6K, 28:14.2) and moved up to 139th in the NCAA Division II Atlantic Regional, knocking almost a minute off her time (6K, 27:17.4).
2021: Competed in four races, including the PSAC Championships where she came in 101st with a time of 26:02.3 over the 6K course … came in 15th at the Gannon/Mercyhurst Invitational, covering the 5K course in a time of 22:37 … bettered that 5K time in the National Catholic Invitational at 21:19.6 (92nd) … a PSAC Scholar-Athlete.
2020: Ran in all three events during a season that was shortened due to COVID-19 and took place in the spring of 2021 … posted a strong showing in her first PSAC Championships, finishing 67th with a time of 20:48.3 … that is her top time in a 5K race … was 13th at the Gannon Invitational (23:30.6 5K).
High School: Competed at McDowell High School in both cross country and track & field ... ran for head coach Jay Pratt in cross country ... a four-year letter winner in both sports.
Personal: Dual majoring in Early Childhood Education Prek-4 and Special Education Prek-12 … daughter of Lia and Colin Petersen … both parents were standouts at Gannon in soccer, and father currently serves as the head coach and mother is the assistant coach … has three brothers, with brother Charlie is a member of the Gannon men’s soccer team.
